Nine GLP students, together with the GLP coordinator and one graduate assistant, went to Davao City for a six-day fieldwork on August 19-24, 2025.
Unlike the Overseas Fieldwork to Manila last February wherein GLP students immersed into a local community for a week, living at a student dorm and going to regular classes with local students, this Overseas Fieldwork was a study tour. The group went from one area to another, met local student organizations, and visited museums, memorials, churches, wildlife sanctuaries, and local restaurants. In the whirlwind six days, the participants explored various aspects of Davao on top of dealing with the usual challenges of fieldwork.
Participants will share their reports at a public event on September 15 at 10:45 – 12:30 in Room 34 Main Building, Hitotsubashi University. (More info to follow.) Hope to see you there!
